Delete your Sod account

Request deletion without the app

Email privacy@sodmobile.com with the subject “Delete my Sod account”. You do not need to install or open Sod. If you signed up with email, write from that address. If you signed up with a phone number, include that number with its country code; our team will arrange verification through that number. Never send a sign-in code, password or identity document by email.

We verify ownership before deleting the account and confirm completion. Include any circle-leadership transfer request; otherwise circles for which you are the only leader will be deleted.

Or delete in the app

In the Sod app, go to You, open Settings, then Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm.

This deletes your profile, your stories and photos, the reactions you sent, your place in every circle and the people you blocked. It happens right away. Copies in our backups are erased within 7 days.

If you're the only leader of a circle, you can choose someone to lead it. Otherwise the circle is deleted with your account.

Want a copy first? Choose Download your data in the same Settings screen.

Safety exceptions: incident evidence and records needed to enforce bans may remain after deletion. Evidence referred to authorities is preserved for legal handling. See the Privacy Policy for the data retained, purposes and retention periods. Contact privacy@sodmobile.com with questions.
